अवलंबून असते. हिरड्या अस्वच्छ असतील, यामुळे
दात तुटणे, रक्त येणे अशा अडचणी येतात.
जेवण केल्यानंतर किंवा गोड पदार्थ खाल्ल्यानंतर
अनेक जण दात स्वच्छ
करत नाहीत. निदान चुळ भरणे तरी आवश्यक असते,
ते देखील अनेक लोक करत नसल्याने, दातांवर घट्ट स्तर
निर्माण होतो.

दातांची काळजी कशी घ्याल?

काही गोष्टी लक्षात घ्यायला हव्यात.जोवर
दाताचे दुखणे सुरू होत नाही,
तोवर दातांची काळजी घ्यायची असते,
ही संकल्पनाच मनात येत नाही.
दातांची दैनंदिन काळजी घ्यावीच लागते;
परंतु वयानुसार; तसेच विविध आजारपणांमध्ये
दाताची विशेष काळजी घ्यावी लागते.

डेंटल इम्प्लांट्स: तिसऱ्यांदा येणारे दात
मनुष्याला नैसर्गिक रीत्या दोन वेळा दात येतात.
एक म्हणजे दुधाचे आणि दुसरे म्हणजे कायमस्वरूपी दात.
दुधाचे दात पाचव्या-सहाव्या वर्षी पडून त्या जागी
कायमस्वरूपी दात येणार असले, तरी दुधाच्या
दातांचीही काळजी घ्यावी लागते आणि तेवढीच
काळजी येणाऱ्या कायमस्वरूपी दातांचीही घ्यावी लागते.
मात्र सतत गोड खाणे, योग्य रीत्या दात न घासणे,
चुकीच्या सवयी आदींमुळे दात किडू शकतात, पडू शकतात.
अशा वेळी दातांवर योग्य उपचार करून घेणे आवश्यक ठरते.
पूर्वी दात पडला, की कवळी बसवावी लागायची.
